Wahab Riaz appointed consultant for Pakistan women’s cricket team
Lahore: Former Test cricketer Wahab Riaz has been appointed as a consultant for the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team. According to sources, Wahab Riaz was associated with the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Department for a few weeks and has now been appointed as a consultant for the national women’s team.
Sources say that Wahab Riaz will temporarily look after the affairs of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team and is working with the Director of Women’s Cricket to plan for the future. On the other hand, sources say that changes are also being made in the support staff of the Pakistan Women’s Team and former Test cricketer Imran Farhat is also likely to be included in the support staff of the Women’s Team.
According to sources, the PCB will soon announce the head coach and sports staff of the Pakistan Women’s Team. It should be noted that the post of Women’s Head Coach is vacant after the expiry of the term of Mohammad Wasim.
